The Lady Mustangs were missing senior standout Deni Jacobs and fell behind early to Holcomb.

The No. 1 Lady Mustangs trailed 16-11 after the first quarter but trimmed the deficit to two by half.

Heights took the lead in the third and was able to hold on in the fourth for the 45-41 win.

Heidi Brown led the Lady Mustangs with 12 points.

 

For the boys, it took strong second and third quarters to earn the win.

Holcomb tied the Mustangs 8-8 in the first quarter, but Heights built a 21-16 halftime lead. The Mustangs added five more to the lead in the third quarter and the Mustangs claimed a 50-42 win. Cory Ryan led the Mustangs with 18 points.
