Mustangs lose lead to Lakin PDF Print E-mail

The Lakin Broncos came back from a double-digit halftime deficit Friday night to beat the Southwestern Heights Mustangs 60-55. 

The Mustangs led 33-22 at the half, but a strong second-half showing by Lakin led the Broncos to the win.

After three quarters of play Lakin had cut the lead to just five with the score 44-39.

The final quarter of play belonged to Lakin as they outscored Heights 21-11 in the fourth to get the five-point victory.

The Broncos outscored the Mustangs 38-22 in the second half to get the win.

Nathan Johnsrud led Heights with 13 points, and Jorge Dela Torre had 12. Both Cody Jennings and Alexis Loya chipped in with nine points a piece.

Brandon Kisner had nine rebounds and two steals for the Mustangs
