Michelle Meek, 61, died Nov. 29, 2013, at her residence in Liberal.
She was born July 20, 1952, the daughter of Janiver and Grace Louise (Pittman) Dellinger, at Hutchinson.
She married Perry Brooks.
She later married Bill S. Meek Feb. 17, 1984,  in Liberal. He survives.
She graduated from Liberal High School in 1970 and then studied computer science at Seward County Community College.
For the past 12 years, she worked as the information technician for the Liberal Police Department. She had previously worked many years at D.K. Zimmerman Insurance as an insurance agent.
She was a huge supporter of the Liberal Animal Shelter, Liberal Area Rape Crisis Center and to the community in general, always assisting people in need.
She was an avid concert goer, loved Rock-n-Roll music, shopping for shoes and gardening.
Attending her family's activities and nurturing her many friendships were very important to her.
Other survivors include: son, Shawn Meek and wife, Sissy, Russellville, Ariz; daughter, Farrah Robinson, Turpin, Okla; two sisters, Cathy Ready, Coldwater, Robin Martin and husband, Clay, Edmond, Okla.; step-brother, Jeff Eichman and wife, Shari, McPherson; step-sister, Monica Koehn and husband, Ernie, McPherson; six grandchildren, Bethani McIntire, Cade McIntire, Shanae Riggs and husband, Jacob, Isaac Phillpott, Kyra Meek and Shawn Meek; one great-grandson, Noah Riggs; and mother-in-law, AnnaLee Meek, Liberal.
She was preceded death by her mother, Grace Louise Eichman; step-father, Bob Eichman; and father-in-law, Billy Gene Meek.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church, located at Seventh and Western in Liberal with Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
A guest book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in care of  Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
