N. Marvalene Underwood, 83, died, Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
She was born Jan. 1, 1930, to Clyde P. and Irene (Newman) Bryant in Fox, Okla.
She married Leon Nathan Underwood Jan. 23, 1948, in Gainsville, Texas. He survives.
She graduated from Fox High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening and refinishing furniture.
Other survivors include one son, Steve Underwood and Beth, Coldwater; one daughter, Debra Busby and husband, Larry, Liberal; one brother, K.D. Bryant, Emery, Texas; one sister, Linda Smith and husband, Butch, Rockhill, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Kenneth Mansell, Larry Dean Busby Jr., Lori Busby, Albert Montes, Becki Downs, Steven Underwood, Cora Underwood, Slade Underwood and Stetsen Underwood; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Toni Montes, brother, Clyde Bryant Jr., and sister, Mona Temple.
• Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Prater presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brenneman Funeral Home
