Obituary

ADAMS, Okla. – Roy Leon Farmer, 45, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Odyssey Hospice in Amarillo, Texas.

He was born Jan. 20, 1965, to Dwane and DeAnna Bozarth Farmer in Chickasha, Okla.

He went to Elementary School in Adams and to Turpin High School, graduating with the Class of 1983. He went on to college at OPSU in Goodwell, Okla., where he graduated in 1990. He also attended graduate school through Ft. Hays State University.

During his middle school years he was baptized at the Adams Mennonite Brethren Church. He attended the Turpin Mennonite Church.

He was a talented musician and was lead singer in several different bands. He also acted in many stage productions for OPSU and the Guymon Community Theater.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Glenda Friesen and husband, Marlin, Adams; one nephew, Kerry, Adams; and many cousins and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several uncles.

o Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at  the Turpin Mennonite Church.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
