Obituary

GARDEN CITY – Barbara Jeanette Jackson, 58, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at the Select Specialty Hospital at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born Oct. 11, 1955, to Albert Leo and Darlene Embree Lefort in Garden City.

She had worked as a lab assistant for St. Catherine Hospital.

Survivors include her father; one daughter, Emily and husband, Nathan Wenck, Carroll, Iowa; one brother, Mike and wife, Jenifer Lefort, Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Laurie and husband, Sam Henderhan, Kremmling, Colo., Sheryl Schuster, Neodesha, and Suzanne Phipps, Garden City; one grandson, Matthew Wenck, Carroll; and one granddaughter, Meleah Wenck, Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

• A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.

Burial will be at a later date in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

There will be no public visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
