Marvin W. Buck, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, in Paris, Tenn.
He was born in 1933 to E. Milton and Mary Buck in Sutherland.
After graduating from Liberal High School, he followed the rodeo circuit for a while then joined the army and served as a paratrooper. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and taught biology and math in Perkins Okla. After teaching several years, he returned to OSU and obtained a doctorate in veterinarian medicine. He later set up his own business as a veterinarian in Liberal and practiced for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jan, Paris, Tenn.; his son, Rod Buck and wife, Diana; his stepchildren, Brad Francis and wife, Maureen, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Jana Meadows and husband, Randy, Clovis, Calif., Scott Francis and wife, Stacey, Idaho Falls, David Schmoker, Hutchinson, and Doug Schmoker, St. Paul, Minn.; siblings, Ken Buck and wife Kay, Andover, Ethel Grant, Liberal, Delcia Allison and husband, Max, Winfield, and Pat Dondlinger and husband, Joe, Horn Lake, Miss.; granddaughter, Jessie, Guymon, Okla.; and nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Russell Buck.
