Virginia Pearl Benton, 78, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born Jan. 16, 1935, the daughter of Oval and Jewell (McCorkel) Marsh, at Woodville, Okla.
She married Robert Eldon Benton, Dec. 12, 1953, at Borger, Texas. He preceeded her in death Jan. 11, 2000.
She graduated from Borger High School and attended Frank Phillips Community College.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and attended the First Church of the Nazarene, both of Liberal.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Bruce Benton and wife, Kim, Choctaw, Okla., David Blaine Benton, Kingston, Okla., Phillip Brent, Benton, Liberal; three daughters, Bobetta Kay Harper and husband, Dale, Liberal, Brenda Sue Benton, Liberal, Marsha Beth Abbot, Beaver, Okla.; one brother-in-law, Kenneth E. Benton, Borger, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Calvin O. Marsh; and grandson, Kobe Mosby.
• Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene, Liberal, with Pastor Arlen Ankle presiding.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
There will be no burial as cremation has taken place.
