TURPIN, Okla. – Gail Walter 60, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
She was born March 17, 1953, to Billy C. and Melba (Jernigan) Burr in La Junta, Colo.
She married Robert “Bob” Walter in La Junta. He survives.
She graduated from high school in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1971.
She had been employed at the Citizen State Bank, Golden Plains Credit Union and the Sunflower Bank as a teller.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Beaver, Okla.,
She was a leader in Weight Watchers, enjoyed going to all types of Bible Studies, and loved music.
Other survivors include his parents; two sons, Bradley Walter and wife, Patricia, Scott City, and Joe Walter and wife, Sarah, Pampa, Texas; three daughters, Courtney Jenkins and husband, Allen, Perryton, Texas, Janey Marlar and husband, Jason, Pampa, Texas, and Katy Taylor and husband, Andy, Artesia, N.M.; and two sisters, Karen Rogers and husband, Kelly, Lubbock, Texas, and Janet Nix and husband, Clinton, Abliene, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Burr.
• Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Turpin High School Auditorium, with Brian Boverie presiding.
Graveside service for close friends and family will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Liberal Cemetery.
