Frank “Papa” Rotolo, 93, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, in rural Turpin, Okla.

He was born May 5, 1920, to Samuel and Kathryn (Genova) Rotolo in Pueblo, Colo.

He married Marie Ellen Waller June 11, 1941, in Clayton, N.M. She died Feb. 5, 2002.

He was employed at Hood Chevrolet from 1949 to 1975 as the service manager. He then worked for Beech Aircraft from 1977 to 1985 in the security department. He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II stationed in Australia, Guam and Puerto Rico.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 80 and the Elks Club.

He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt.

He is survived by one son, Frankie Rotolo and wife, Donna, Hugoton; stepson, Don Schouten and wife, Kitty, Panama City, Fla.; brother, John Rotolo, Pueblo, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Kelly Rotolo and wife, Sally, Liberal, Shawn Rotolo-Utz, Lawrence,  Gina Rotolo, The Woodlands, Texas, Toni Feldman, Conroe, Texas, Rick Epp, Wichita, and Tina Call and fiancé, Stacy McVey, Liberal, Wayne Fox and wife, Joanna, Stonewall, La., and Shayne Fox and wife, Marci, Marquette; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Aaron Epp, Turpin, Okla.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kathryn “Kay” Epp, four brothers, Nate, Tony, Joe and Sam Rotolo, and a sister, Ann Johnson

• Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.

Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post No. 80.

Friends may call from 1 – 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post No. 80 in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.
