Parents seeking non-traditional ways of trick or treating for their children where safety may be a concern can take advantage of several opportunities this Thursday on Halloween Day.
Two Trick or Treat Streets have been organized for children.
One will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Emeritus at Liberal Springs located at 1500 Terrace Ave. The event is for children from pre-school ages to sixth grade.
Another Trick or Treat Street will be hosted by a variety of clubs and organizations at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School in the Student Union and student housing on the east side of campus at 1801 N. Kansas Ave. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Community children are invited to participate in these safe Halloween parties and enjoy a variety of activities, entertainment, snacks.
Children can come dressed in their Halloween costumes, carrying their Halloween sacks.
Both Trick or Treat Streets are free and open to the public.
