After a strong start to the season that including a nine-match winning streak, the Lady Redskins hit a rough stretch, and after recovering at the Western Athletic Conference tournament for a second-place finish, Liberal could not advance to the state tournament after a loss in the Sub-State championship Saturday in The Big House.

The Lady Redskins appeared to be poised to force a Game 3 by having a strong start to the second set, but service errors killed Liberal rallies, and the Lady Panthers continued to pound cross-court kills that the Lady Redskins could not defend.
The set stayed close until the Lady Panthers pulled away late, 25-20 for the Sub-State Region 2 championship.
The Lady Redskins ended the season at 22-17 and a second place finish in WAC and Sub-State.
