Alma Pearl Franks, 87, died Oct. 21, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 30, 1926, the daughter of Charles and Pearl Lucretia Johnson Franks, in McCrory, Ark.
She received her masters in education
She was a Junior High music, English and writing teacher. She taught 10 in Venezuela from 1958 to 1968 and 30 years in Ventura, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles and Pearl Franks; four brothers, Dr. Raymond Lee Franks, Charles Lee Franks, Luther Eugene Franks and Thomas Asbury Franks; and sister, Mrs. Myrtle Compton.
Survivors include her nephews ,Raymond Dobbs Franks, Australia, Don Franks, Knoxville, Tenn.; and her niece, Ann Franks, Springdale, Ark. 
• Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Tyrone Cemetery with Pastor David Randall of the Liberal United Methodist Church presiding.
Arrangements are directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Hooker, Okla.
