A Liberal couple faces a myriad of alledged sexual abuse charges against a child under the age of 14.

Billy Brown, no age given, has two separate cases filed against him, according to Seward County Attorney Don Scott.

“In case No. 13CR257, he faces one count of sexual exploitation of a child under 14,” Scott said. “He is under $100,000 bond on that one.

“He made his first appearance on Aug. 5 on that one, and in his preliminary in September, he was bound over, and his arraignment is scheduled at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 31,” he added.

“In case No. 13CR257, he’s got five counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, one indecent solicitation of a child, one count of aggravated criminal sodomy, one count of lewd and lacivious behavoir and two counts of aggravated intimidation of a victim or witness,” Scott said.

In that case, Scott said Brown had his first appearance on Sept. 25, and his next court appearance is set for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 18.

“And he is still on the jail list,” Scott said, confirming Brown is currently incarcerated.

Brown’s partner, Nichole Volden, aka Nichole Brown, 31, was arrested on Sept. 21, according to records provided by the Seward County Sheriff’s office. She is not currently listed on the jail log, according to Scott, but she, too, faces similiar alledged charges.

“She has been charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a child under 14, three counts of aggravated endangerment of a child and two counts of lewd and lacivious behavoir,” Scott said.

Volden’s next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to Scott.
