Lenard Norton, 81, died Sunday, Oct.13, 2013, at Satanta District Hospital.
He was born Aug. 20, 1932, the son of William, Sr., and Julie (Gentry) Norton, at Holdenville, Okla.
He and Bernice Mills were married May 8, 1951, in Adamson, Okla. She survives.
He loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Norton, Moscow; two sons, Larry Wayne Norton, Moscow, Johnny Layne Norton and companion, Lully Jamison, Liberal; three daughters, Lynne Bernice Fink and husband, Mike, Moscow, Vicki Lyn Gaskill and husband, Glen, Hugoton, Linda Jean Shaddix and husband, Johnny, Moscow; one brother, Omar Norton and wife, Betty, Moscow; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, James Norton, Linzy Norton, Milmo Mitchell, Ernest Norton, William Norton, Jr.; three sisters, Venita West, Louie Bell Body and Doylene Bell; and a granddaughter, Pauline Gonzales.
• Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Moscow, with Rev. Tim, McCray presiding.
Burial will be at the Moscow Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
