The Lady Redskins tennis team wrapped up their season Saturday in Goddard, finishing 0-2 in singles play, and 0-2 in doubles.
Freshman Tierra Stoney was the No. 10 seed in the singles bracket and Stephanie Sanchez was seeded No. 12.
Stoney continued to show signs of hope and was very competitive in her match with No. 7 seed Megan Gerken of Bishop Carroll. Stoney led 4-3 in the first set, but ended up dropping the set 6-4, before dropping the second set as well, 6-2.
Sanchez faced the No. 5 seed Taylor White from Maize South. Sanchez struggled and lost in straight sets 6-1, 6-0.
Liberal had two teams in the doubles bracket, the No. 9 seeded team of Apsley and Rodriguez, and the No. 10 seeded team of Evans and Arenivas.
Apsley and Rodriguez fell to the No. 8 team of Dohmeier and Stutzman from Goddard-Eisenhower, 6-0, 6-0.
Evans and Arenivas faced the same fate when they battled the No. 7 team of Kubik and Broskel from Maize South. Evans and Arenivas also lost 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets.
The Lady Redskins finished in seventh in the tournament. Ark City finished first, Bishop-Carroll took second and Maize South rounded out the top three.
