The seventh grade West Warrior football team remained undefeated on the year after a 56-0 blowout over Dodge City Middle School Thurday afternoon at West.

Cesar Burciaga led the way for the Warriors, scoring four touchdowns in three different ways. Burciaga had two rushing touchdowns, a kickoff return for a touchdown and he returned an interception for a touchdown.

“The kids played a great game,” West coach Butch King said. “It was a complete game all around.”

Isaiah Witherspoon also had two rushing touchdowns in the game as well.

Romeo de la Cruz chipped in with a touchdown of his own, as did Max Veliz.

“Our offensive lineman have played great all season long,” King said.

The win puts the Warriors at 6-0 on the season with one game remaining.

West will face the South Apaches at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at Redskin Field.

“I’m looking forward to the game against South,” King said. “It’s great for the student body, and for both teams.”
