West’s seventh grade football team continued its perfect season Thursday with a 60-0 rout over Kenneth Henderson in Garden City.

Five different Warriors scored.

Cesar Burciaga scored three touchdowns including a kick-off return to lead the Warriors in the win.

Isaiah Witherspoon added two rushing touchdowns. Jett Brown also had a touchdown run, and Romeo Delacruz ran for a touchdwon.

Jose Allacon recovered a Kenneth Henderson fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.

“The kids are playing great ina ll thre phases,” West coach Butch King said. “We came up with some big plays.”

West is 5-0 in the Ark River Middle School League with two games remaining. The Warriors will host Dodge City Thursday, and Oct. 17 will face cross-town rival South at Redskin Field.

“The kids have been accountable,” King said. “They show up to practice, work hard, and they have done everything we have asked them to. They are talented, work hard, they are coachable and a joy to work with.”
