Seward County Rural Fire Department was called out to a corn field that caught fire during harvesting. The fire started around 4:35 p.m. Thursday about three miles north of Liberal. County fire brought out a fleet of trucks and put the fire out as quickly as possible. A local farmer also brought out a large tractor and plow to make a fire break.
