Don E. Chrisenberry, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal.
He was born Oct. 9, 1926, to Edgar and Irene (Kirk) Chrisenberry in Blackwell, Okla.
He married Mary L. Smith Nov. 28, 1946, in Winfield. She survives.
He attended schools in Blackwell and has been a resident of Liberal, for the past 48 years.
He was self-employed and owned Chrisenberry’s Auto. He had formally worked as a service manager for Liberal Ford and Stu Emmert’s Automotive Center. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II.
He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church of Liberal.
Other survivors include two sons, Ron Chrisenberry and wife, Terry, Liberal, and Jack Chrisenberry and wife, Susan, Fort Myers, Fla.; three daughters, Donna Findley and husband, Beaux, Tulsa, Okla., Connie Hale and husband, Dave, Liberal, and Teena Tutt and husband, Rob, Tomball, Texas; one brother, Art Chrisenberry, Garnett; one sister, Carol Chrisenberry, Iola; 10 grandchildren, Julie, Lisa, Daniel, Tiffini, Sonny, Amy, Triston, Brianne, Savannah and Cailen; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, Jessica and one great-grandchild, Kamden.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Tabernacle Church of Liberal, with Pastor Rex Petty, presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery with military honors by U. S. Marine Corp Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with family present to greet friends from 1-2 p.m. at Brenneman Funeral Home.
