• Special to the Leader & Times

Twenty-five young professionals attended the kick-off party for the newly organized Liberal Young Professionals, which was recently conducted at the Rock Island Depot. The group enjoyed pizza donated by the Pizza Hut and learned more about LYP’s Action Teams.

The Liberal Chamber of Commerce is excited to introduce this organization to the community.  LYP will provide an opportunity  for people ages 20 to 40 to network with their peers through social events, give back to their community through action teams and develop and enrich their leadership skills.

All young professionals are invited to join LYP for a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and grow lasting friendships.

For those interested in joining, call Brenda at the Chamber office, 624-3855, or come to the first social event at Spencer Browne’s at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
