The Southwestern Heights Mustangs fell to the Elkhart Wildcats Friday night in Elkhart 26-7.

The Wildcats put 14 points up in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead after one.

The Mustangs did find their way into the end zone in the second quarter, but still trailed 14-7 heading into the half.

Heights was unable to put anymore points on the board in the second half, while allowing six points in both the third and fourth quarters.

Mustang coach Matt Scripsick was unavailable for comment afterwards, due to a knee injury sustained by one of his players.

Coach Scripsick was with the player at the hospital until 4 a.m. Saturday. The extent of the injury is not yet known.

The loss dropped Heights to 1-1 on the season.

The Mustangs will host the Meade Buffaloes Friday night in a big conference game for both teams.
