The annual Chamber of Commerce Duck Festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 21, and the Chamber is seeking participation, acxcording to Duck Festival Chair Rhonda Crawford.
“We are encouraging local organizations to have a booth at the festival,” she said. “I hope people will consider participating in this year’s Duck Festival as we have new games and fun events this year.”
Here are some guidelines:
• Booth need to be set up by 9 a.m. Participants may drive into the booth location and set up but must then park their car outside the blocked off area.
• Participants must bring their own tables, chairs, tents and anything else they will need.
• Notify the Chamber office if anyone will need electricity.
“You may advertise your organization, have games for kids or adults or sell items, including food,” Crawford said. “However, you may not sell chili, hot dogs or hamburgers due to the Chili Cook-off competition.
“Baked goods and drinks are excellent choices,” she added.
Participants may dismantle their booth just prior to or immediately after the duck race at 2 p.m.
“After the duck race is over, you may drive your vehicle into the park – after most of the crowd has gone,” Crawford said.
For additional information and cost of booth, call 624-3855 and ask for Rozelle or Brenda.
