Guerrero “Guerre” Michel, Jr., 33, died Aug. 15, 2013, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 4, 1979, to Guerrero and Maria Victoria (Soto) Michel in Melrose Park, Ill.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1998, and he attended Southwest Kansas Technical School in Liberal to earn his CDL.
He was a long-time employee of J-A-G Construction Co.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He enjoyed being the life of the party, always smiling and dancing.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Jesus Michel, Liberal; two sisters, Celia Hernandez and husband, Ciro, Liberal, Victoria Pavia, Liberal; grandmother, Leandra Soto, Mexico; six nephews and nieces, Lalito, Alexia, Angel, Joaquin, Caylee and Natalia
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jorge and Celia Michel and Papa Lalo Soto; and nephew, Alan.
• Vigil and Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Hector de la Vega presiding.
Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. Second Street, Liberal, KS.
