Michael Rose, 66, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at St. Joseph, Mo.
He was born May 28, 1947, to Richard and Victoria (Caldwell) Rose in Liberal.
He married Gene Hensley  Sept. 2, 1989, at Liberal. She survives.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1967.
He was a owner/operator for National Carriers for 16 years.
He loved to be behind the wheel of his truck and being with his family.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Rose and wife, Dorinda,  Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Pamela Post and husband, Chris, Cypress, Texas; one brother, Roger Rose; one step-son, Charles Hensley and wife, Tia, Ennis, Texas;  two step daughters, Kerry Cobb, Austin, Texas, Francy Hensley, Ennis, Texas;  11 Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Victoria.
• Funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Hensley presiding.
Burial will follow at the Arkalon Cemetery.
