ROBERT A. HITCHCOCK
Robert “Tony” A. Hitchcock, 73, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 8, 1939 to Parker William Hitchcock and Doris Lou (Brimmage) Hitchcock in Dombey, Okla.
He married Priscilla Goodwin on March 18, 1961, in Pampa, Texas. She preceded him in death.
He graduated from Liberal High School.
He joined the United States Army from 1958-1960, where he was honorably discharged.
He worked as a project supervisor for Brown and Root Construction Company.
He was a member of the Folsom Freewill Baptist Church, Oklahoma Cattleman's Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.
He liked working on his home place, horses, welding, building pony carts and he loved driving his tractor.
He is preceded in death by his parents and stepdad Leonard Brown.
Survivors include his son, Robby Hitchcock and wife Mary, Boswell, Okla.; daughter, Tammy Cooper and husband, Terry, Durant, Okla.; sister, Janet Baker, Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Whitney Cooper, Lawton, Okla., Katey Cooper, Durant, Casey Hitchcock, Boswell, Caleb Hitchcock, Boswell and Shandi Beth Hitchcock, Boswell; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Folsom Freewill Baptist Church in Coleman, Okla., with Brother Earl White and Brother Rayden Whitmire presiding.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brown's Funeral Service in Durant.
