The Lady Cardinals ended a long drought, defeating the Hardesty Lady Bison, 42-35, on the final day of the Texhoma Tournament.

Hardesty took a 13-10 lead after one quarter, but Turpin bounced back in the second and led 22-21 at the break.

The Lady Bison fought back once again, outscoring the Lady Cardinals 11-9 to lead 32-31 heading into the fourth quarter.

Turpin dominated the fourth quarter 11-3, to pick up a much-needed win.

“I was happy with our defense again,” said Lady Cardinals coach Chad Fox. “We were a little sluggish on offense, but we were able to get the ball to the short corner and hit some cutters in the paint. We are real happy to get the win.”

Shelby Hansen scored 15 to lead the Lady Cardinals, Raegan Alvarez added 10, and Dakota Moon and Bianca Lopez both scored 7.
