Matt Holley of Hugoton sings “Lady Down on Love” in the first round of Friday’s Liberal High School Booster Club Country Showdown. Holley took second in the competition and $250.

 

 

Denasa Rice of Liberal competes in the first round of Friday’s Liberal High School Booster Club Country Showdown. Rice took third in the competition and $150. Rice was one of three contestants who opened Saturday for American Idol Bucky Covington. According to organizers, Friday’s event raised $3,500 for the Booster Club.
