Black Hills Energy promotes employee in Liberal PDF Print E-mail

Black Hills Energy recently announced that Liberal employee Eric Smalldridge has accepted a promotion within the company to the position of gas operations technician. Smalldridge’s responsibilities relate to the operation, maintenance, and construction of the gas distribution system, including emergency response, line locating and anti-corrosion measures.

“Eric’s qualifications and experience will benefit both the company and our customers as we put our energy into providing safe, reliable natural gas service,” said Ronnie Sumner, the Operations Supervisor for Liberal. “We’re pleased to have Eric seize this new opportunity and we’re confident that he will excel.”

Eric began his career with Black Hills Energy as a utility specialist in Liberal in 2007. Eric graduated from Liberal High School and spent four years in the United States Air Force. He is actively involved with the Black Hills Safety program and recently became a volunteer with the Liberal Fire Department.
