HUGOTON – DonEtta Moser, 80, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She was born Sept. 28, 1928, to Perry J. Beavers in Stevens County.
She married Ernest M. “Dutch” Moser Oct. 9, 1945. He died Jan. 10, 1978.
She was a 1947 graduate of Hugoton High School.
She worked at Bigbee Motors for 10 years and at Farmers Home Administration USDA for 28 plus years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rebekkah Lodge and the Lady’s Auxiliary, all of Hugoton. She had also served on the Stevens County Medical Foundation.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Greg) Morris and Charlotte Breeding, both of Hugoton; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Gabriel) Simmons, Hutchinson, Laurie Morris, Hugoton, Jamie (Brad) Niehues, Hugoton, and Gregory Morris, Amarillo, Texas; one great-grandson, Grant Niehues, Hugoton; two nieces, Carolyn Cooper and Phyliss Lober, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Beavers of Colorado and Marion Beavers of Missouri, two aunts, Maxine Raimey, Wichita, and Maxine Kilbourne, Garden City; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil Beavers Sr., Phil Beavers and Lauren Beavers; and two nephews, Virgil Beavers Jr. and Arthur Lynn Beavers.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church of Hugoton, with Pastor Harry Cross and the Rev. Eric Mason presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.
