The smell of new clothes. The sight of glittering necklaces and bright purses. The feel of soft cotton scarves and blouses. Sisters, the new boutique/accessory shop at 9 1/2 S. Kansas Ave., assaults the senses upon entering.
Sisters is a small business owned by Maria Almeida. She opened the women’s shop about two weeks ago, and despite lack of previous business experience, she believes her store is getting a good start.
The shop sells everything from jewelry to purses to shoes to scarves. They have women’s clothing, as well as girls’ clothing.
Sisters is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
They are not hiring at this time.
They will be hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony at 10.
