MANTER – Wood Cott Jr., 93,  died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson.

He was born July 6, 1919, to Montgomery Wood and Lizzie Jane (Gray) Cott in Stevens County.

He attended Moscow High School and Hugoton High School. He graduated from Manter High School. He also attended Fort Hays State University.

He served in the Army Air Force for four years and he was a farmer.

He attended Manter Methodist Church.

He was a member of VFW Post No. 3684 in Johnson and the Stanton County Prairie Pines Men's Golf Association.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by bothers, Boyd, Thomas, Homer, Hugh and Amos; and sisters, June Bearce, Mary Leora Cox and May Graham.
