La Policía de Liberal fue llamada a un accidente en torno de las 4:26 pm del pasado Jueves en la calle séptima y la Kansas Ave.  El capitan de la policia de Liberal Pat McClurg dijo en el momento del accidente que un Buick 1995 dorado giraba en la septima al oeste de la Kansas cuando un 2002 Pontiac Grand Am azul iba hacia el sur por la Kansas. McClurg dijo que el conductor del Pontiac Grand Am, una mujer de 24 años de edad, fue citada por pasarse una luz roja y causar el accidente. El accidente fue catalogado inicialmente como un accidente con lesiones, pero la conductora del Pontiac Grand Am y la conductora del Buick, una mujer de 64 años de edad, se negaron a ser trasladas al hospital.
