Special to the Leader & Times

The ‘Spring Poker Run’ tournament took place Saturday May 18 at the Yucca Ridge Golf Club. It turned out to be the first 100-degree day of the year with a good wind out of the southwest. This was a two-person best ball format played over 18 holes.

The team of the day was Levi Eaton and Derek Fuller shooting a five over par 75 to take first place in the event.

Second place went to Jerrod Ratzlaff and Dave Ratzlaff shooting an 84.

Taking third place in the event was Steve Austin and Frank Mendoza. And as luck would have it, the rankings stayed the same in the poker playoff that followed.

The next event planned at Yucca Ridge is the ‘GloBall’ tourney scheduled for June 22. This is the annual night golf tourney played as a two-person scramble.

For information about upcoming events at Yucca Ridge or questions about golf call Kitch at 482-0243 or call the office at 624-GOLF.
