The 2A State Boys Golf Tournament had a southwest Kansas feel, with Monday’s event taking place at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City.

Hunter Burnett of Elkhart brought home the schools first –ever individual title when he shot a 75, one stroke ahead of the closest competition. Fellow Wildcat Braden Harbour shot an 82, good enough for tenth place.

The Meade Buffaloes finished fourth as a team with a score of 347, just eight strokes away from Oberlin’s championship 339.

Austin Jansonius shot a 78 for the Buffaloes to finished sixth overall. Mark Finster shot finished 20th with an 86, Morgan Davis shot a 91 to finish tied for 42nd, and Benjaman Thompson shot a 92 to finish tied for 44th. Clayton Padgett shot a 99, and Corbin Vanderpool shot a 112.
