Southwestern Heights track athletes competed Friday at the 3A Regional Track Meet in Holcomb, with several qualifying for the state meet in Wichita.

Peter Wiebe took gold in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run. Wiebe posted a time of 4:52.17 in the 1600, and a time of 10:38.34 in the 3200.

On the girls side, Nayelly LaPoint finished second in the javelin with a throw of 122’-8”. Emily Jacobs qualified in the triple jump with a leap of 33’-2.5”.
