The Cardinals moved back into a tie for first place in the Liberal Cal Ripken League after knocking off the Rockies 8-7 Monday at Rosel Field.

The White Sox and Cardinals are tied for first with two games to go.

The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead and had to hold on late.

After falling behind 8-5, the Rockies put Cesar Burciaga on the mound, and that ended the scoring for the Cardinals.

But the Rockies only had one last shot to come back in the sixth. After Braxton Hyde recorded two outs, Malcolm Wiltshire was able to reach second and scored on a Burciaga triple. Burciaga scored on a Brodie Warren double, but Hyde was able to get the final out.
