The resurgency of the Redskin track program may not have ended with a Western Athletic Conference track title this season, but Liberal is well on its way to re-establishing its legacy.

After winning 14 consecutive state track titles from 1991 to 2004, the Redskins have struggled to be competitive, but this season, the Redskins have won every track meet and finished second at the WAC meet Thursday, 15 points behind Hays.

The close meet may be a preview of a battle at Cessna Stadium later this month for the Class 5A title.
