The Southwestern Heights Lady Mustangs continued their dominance Friday night with a 68-25 route over the Lady Larks of Sublette.
The Lady Mustangs jumped up 17-3 by the end of the first quarter and walked into half with a 38-13 lead.
From there they cruised to win by a 43-point margin over the Lady Larks.
“They lost their big girl to an ACL this week and that was devastating to their team,” Lady Mustangs head coach Barry Mellen said. “But we still had to come in and take care of business. We have depth and we used it. We want to be able to run 12 to 15 girls a night if possible.”
Heidi Brown led Heights with 17 points, Deni Jacobs also reached double digits with 13. Twelve Lady Mustangs scored in the contest.
The Lady Mustangs remain unbeaten and will be preparing for their league tournament.
“Got to win three to bring it home,” Mellen said. “So we’re going to take it one game at a time, and go from there. A lot of teams can turn it on and pick up their game up around this time in the season, but we’ll be ready.”
