The Southwestern Heights tennis team hosted their invitational Tuesday, and while both doubles team did well the singles teams struggled.
The No.1 doubles team of Ashton Lee and Richard Navarette finished 3-1 with wins over Ulysses, Cimarron, and Fairfield. Their lone loss was to Micah Harder and Dalton Weins of Meade.
The No.2 doubles team of Alberto Ponce and Austin Metcalf also went 3-1 with wins over Ulysses, Cimarron, and Fairfield. Their lone loss was to Garrett Blehm and Aaron Gleason of Meade.
Lluvia Baca finished 2-2 in No.2 singles with wins over Ulysses and Cimarron. Meade’s Ryan Friesen defeated Baca 6-0.
No.1 singles Tucker Thorp went 0-4, including a 6-0 loss to Meade’s Cooper Clawson.
Heights will head to Kiowa-South Barber for their regional tournament tomorrow.
