The Hooker Bulldogs season came to an end Thursday evening with a 5-4 extra inning loss to the Seiling Wildcats.

Hooker had tied the game at 4 in the seventh to send the game to an extra inning. The game ended on a controversial call when a Hooker baserunner was called out for being tagged off the base.

“It was a tight call,” Bulldog manager Chad Hussey said. “Hard to see your season end on that.”

Hooker was put in an elimination position earlier in the day when No.7 Hydro-Eakley shut down the Bulldogs 12-2.

“We really struggled at the plate,” Hussey said. “Their pitching made it tough as well.”

Seniors Chad Kennedy and Brian McCann finish their high school careers as four-time district champs.

“They’ve started all four years and played their tails off for me,” Hussey said.

Hooker ends the season with an 11-11 record.
