It was the Bulldogs doing the stampeding instead of the Bison Tuesday night in Forgan. Forgan’s starters and top two reserves rested the entire second half after building a 45-point lead, as the Bulldogs cruised to a 78-37 win.

Forgan wasted no time putting the Bison away, using a full-court press to force a plethora of turnovers that led to a 35-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

“We have been practicing our (full-court) press,” said Kerr. “We are going to need it later this season.”

The dominance continued in the second quarter as the Bulldogs extended their lead to 58-13 at the half.

“We played well,” said Bulldogs coach Todd Kerr. “Our first seven guys played so hard and we really unselfish.”

Coach Kerr was also pleased with how his bench played, including freshman Dalton Lemieux who was the Bulldogs leading scorer with 13.

“Our younger bunch played hard, and did well,” said Coach Kerr. “I was proud of the way they went out there and competed.”

Forgan shot 50 percent from the field, and shot 61 percent from inside the arc. The Bulldogs also had 24 more shot attempts than Buffalo to attest to how well they rebounded and played on defense.

Rhett Radcliff scored 12 points, all in the first quarter, and did not see the floor the rest of the game just two minutes into the second quarter. Jake Regier also had a dozen, all in the first half, Matt Morris added 11, and Tayler Eagan 9.

No. 2 Forgan improved their record to 13-0, and will host rival Beaver Friday.
