After dropping two one-run games, the Rockies finally scored a victory Friday with an offensive explosion, topping the Tigers 16-3 at Rosel Field.
James Armstrong took the mound for the Tigers, but the Rockies had his number in the first two innings. The Rockies scored 10 runs before Armstrong was relieved by Maurice Limas.
Limas was abel to slow down the scoring over the next three innings, but the Rockies continued to push runs across the plate.
Cesar Burciaga took the mound for the Rockies, but once he was able to help provide a double-digit lead he was pulled from the mound while others pitchers finished out the game.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 0-3. They will seek their first win of the season Monday against the Cardinals.
