ULYSSES – Solia Marie Guaderrama, 64, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Nov. 25, 1948, to Manuel and Eufrasia (Morin) Guerra in Brownfield, Texas.
She worked at Columbian Chemicals, Dart-In Convenience Store and in 1986 opened Alejandro’s Mexican Restaurant.
She was a member and served on the board of Grant County Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She enjoyed working at Alejandro’s, and traveling; especially to the lake to go fishing.
She is survived by her children, Betty Delgado, Ulysses, Manuel Scott, Dallas, and Willie Meza, Ulysses; step-children, Jesus Guaderrama, Joel Guaderrama, and Yari Guaderrama, all of Ulysses; siblings, Enrique Guerra, San Antonio, Felecita Guerra Silva, Garciasville, Texas, and Irma Meza, Ulysses; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Agruelio Guerra; and sister, Lydia Herrera.
• Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, with the Rev. Peter Fernandez presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
