MEADE – Josie Pearl (Veach) Young, 76, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.
She was born Sept. 18, 1933, to Harvey and Christina (Hemphill) Veach in Medicine Lodge.
She married Earl Monroe Young Oct. 22, 1954, in Cimarron. He survives.
She enjoyed singing, dancing, fishing, telling stories, reading poetry and being with her family.
She is also survived by five children, Mark Young and wife, Trena, Hinsdale, N.H., Sandra Foster and husband, Brad, Meade, Sherry Weber and husband, Richard, Fowler, Sonya Padgett and husband, Larry, Meade, and Shannon Couse, Meade; one sister, Dellas Orton and husband, Frank, of Penrose, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sons, Steven and Daniel; two brothers, Harley and Howard; one grandson, Jade Foster; and one granddaughter, Quaferley Foster.
o Celebration of Life services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary and 212 South Fowler Street in Meade with Pastor Bob Deacon and Minister Bradley Foster presiding.
Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery in Meade.
Friends may call from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
