ELKHART – James B. Fraser, 59, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at his home in Elkhart.
He was born Aug. 8, 1953, to Charles and Margaret (Powell) Fraser in Torrance, Calif.
He married Bonnie Rhoads Aug. 21, 1982, in Torrance. She survives.
He earned his GED from Carson High School. He attended trade school for wastewater control at Orange Coast College.
He began his working career as a welder at Montrose Chemical Corporation and later became a wastewater treatment operator and then supervisor of the plant for the City of Carson, Calif.
He is also survived by his mother; his daughters, Tessa Fraser and husband, Ricardo Espinoza, Elkhart, Dena Fraser, Carson, Melissa Fraser, San Pedro, Calif., and Misty Pope of California; his grandchildren, Autumn Hull, Bonnie and Terry Ross, Steven and Abel Espinoza, Ricardo Espinoza Jr. and James, Catherine, Cassandra and Carilyn Pope; and two great-grandchildren, Marcus Fraser and Carter Marin.
He was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Barbara Fraser.
