A Liberal man faces his second charge of alleged attempted murder within one year’s time.
On Feb. 18, Dustin Toole, 32, of 316 W. 4th, was arrested for the charges of alleged attempted first degree murder, aggravated intimidation of a witness or victim and criminal restraint, according to Seward County District Attorney Don Scott.
On March 8, 2012, Toole was arrested on charges of alleged aggravated battery, attempted murder, felony criminal damage to property, misdemeanor criminal damage to property and possession of methamphetamines after he was found driving on the wrong side of the road.
Scott said Toole’s alleged victim in his most recent arrest was an adult female.
Scott said Toole was scheduled to appear before a judge on Feb. 25 and that his next court date is 11 a.m. on Monday for a bond reduction hearing where he will be represented by attorney Lynn Koehn.
Scott added that Toole is currently incarcerated at the Seward County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
