Wilbert Bond, 58, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born Sept. 10, 1951, to Charlie T. and Alma L. Williams Bond at Brownsville, Tenn.
He married Kiddie R. Pace Aug. 31, 1981, in Liberal. She survives.
He graduated Liberal High School and attended Seward County Community College.
He worked for the U.S. Postal System in Liberal for several years. For the past 32 years, he was employed at Tri-State Communications and Gateway Wireless.
He attended Community Missionary Baptist Church in Liberal.
He is also survived by two sons, Kareem Pace, Liberal, and Garry Pace and wife, Mendie, Longview, Texas; two daughters, Freedom Bond, Liberal, and Tanzia Bond of Iowa; one brother, Charlie Bond Jr., Denver; four sisters, Elzedia Freeman, Wichita, Patricia Campbell and husband, James, Minneapolis, Deborah Bond, Oklahoma City, and Bernice Turnbo, Decatur, Ill.; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; an aunt, Johnnie Love and husband, Robert Sr., Liberal; and an uncle Walter Williams, Memphis, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bibleway Church of God in Christ, with the Rev. Toby Livingston and the Rev. Charles Butler presiding.
Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary.
