SYRACUSE – Nelda Mae (Northrup) Terrill, 91, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Claire Bridge Assisted Living in Leawood.

She was born June 28, 1921, to Frank Forrester Northrup and Maybelle Gladys (Sytsma) Northrup.

She married James S. Terrill Oct. 4, 1945, in Syracuse. He preceded her in death.

She attended Syracuse High School and graduated in 1939. She attended Kansas State University for one year.

She worked in the theater business, operating the projection booth, selling tickets and helping customers at the snack bar. She later worked with the Antiquities Shoppe, sold real estate and managed housing rental. She was also a homemaker.

She was active in the First Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of P.E.O., the Sequoyah Dance Club, Hobby Club and Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and table decorating.

She is survived by two daughters, Candace Richard and husband, Dru, Ellsworth, and Holly Lull and husband, Monty, Leawood; four grandsons, Christopher Richard and fiance, Janki Patel, Dover, Del., Colby Richard, Nashville, Tenn., Michael Lull and wife, Abby, Annapolis, Md., and Scott Lull and wife, Rachael, Overland Park; and many relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Howard Northrup; and two sisters, Gladys Johnson and Muriel Ellis.

o Graveside service will be 11 a.m. MST Saturday at the Syracuse Cemetery.

Following the service, the family will receive friends at the Northrup Theater.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Northrup Theater in care of Fellers Funeral Home & Monuments LLC, P.O. Box 1253, Syracuse, KS 67878.
