SATANTA – Don A. Jennings, 42, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Satanta District Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1967, to Kenneth L. and Wanella L. Hibler Jennings in Perryton, Texas.
He married Jetta Ungerer Schott May 30, 1995, in Salida, Colo. She survives.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1986. He received his AA Electronics Degree from the LAVTS of Seward County Community College.
He drove truck for Werner Enterprises and Groendyke Transport Inc. for eight years, for the past two years was employed by the Seward County Road and Bridge Department.
He enjoyed camping, decorating for Christmas, country dancing and being a grandpa.
He is also survived by his father, Kenneth Jennings and wife, Barb, Moscow; one stepson, Dru Schott and wife, Tabetha, Satanta; one brother, Dennis Jennings and wife, Buffy, Hooker, OK; special aunt, Marie Woodring, Liberal; two half brothers, Brad Harper, Red Rock, Nev., and Bill Harper, Moscow; three grandchildren, Bethany Schott, Canton, and Wyatt and Spencer Schott, Satanta; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, step-son Gus Schott, and father-in-law, Tiny Ungerer.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kismet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Morgan presiding.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary.
Burial will be at the Kismet Cemetery.
